5-star Rated Ceramic Coating Installation in Plymouth MA

What is a Ceramic Coating?

A Ceramic Coating is a semi-permanent layer that sits on top of your vehicle’s paint and serves as the first layer of defense for your car’s paint and clear coat. The coating contains hydrophobic properties, meaning that water beads right off of the paint. Because of this, cleaning and maintaining your car’s exterior becomes much easier! Plus, the shine from a Ceramic Coated surface is second-to-none!

Getting a Ceramic Coating for your vehicle is the best way to get long-lasting hydrophobic protection and mirror-like shine, no matter if you have a vehicle that’s right off the dealer’s lot, or one that’s been around the block a few times. Watch as dirt, debris, and water glide right off of your car’s paint, all with a finish that lasts 3+ years with proper maintenance.

Our Ceramic Coating process is currently being perfected, so we are not serving Ceramic Coating or Paint Correction clients at the moment.

Your Plymouth Ceramic Coating Pros

Our entire Ceramic Coating process is built top to bottom to provide you and your vehicle with the best results possible. It starts with a full touchless and touch wash, taking care to ensure all debris is removed without causing any additional scratching. Next, a full clay bar treatment is done for the entire paintwork, stripping away contaminants that hide in the paint and cause it to feel rough. Both of these steps create a clean & prepped surface, allowing for a consistent and uncontaminated mating surface for the coating.

Before the coating is applied, however, a full Paint Correction is typically done. A Paint Correction removes the majority of scratches and swirls from the paint, and adds an even deeper layer of shine to the vehicle. This can be done as a one-step correction, or an “All-in-One” for newer and better condition vehicles, but most paintworks more than a year or two old should opt for a two-step cut & polish for optimal results. Once the Ceramic Coating goes on, removing scratches and swirls becomes impossible to do without damaging/removing the coating, so its better to get it done beforehand. Plus, the results at the end will have the mirror finish and shine that comes with a quality Ceramic Coating.

Once the proper level of correction is preformed, it’s time for the coating application! The coating is applied to the vehicle one panel at a time and leveled afterwards to ensure a proper finish. Afterwards, it is crucial to keep the car dry for two days post-installation, in order to ensure that the coating has time to fully level. Once the coating is fully applied by us, you’ll be left with a shine that knocks any wax or other sealant out of the water!

Is a Ceramic Coating Right For You?

Getting a Ceramic Coating is a fantastic means of getting long-term gloss and protection for your vehicle’s paint, but that doesn’t mean its the right fit for everyone. For instance, if you have a vehicle that takes a major beating on a consistent basic (think a landscaping work truck), a Ceramic Coating might not be the best idea as it will wear away quickly.

However, if you have a vehicle that is kept in good shape, it can be well worth it to get a Ceramic Coating, even for daily drivers! Daily driven cars might especially benefit from the ease of washing/maintenance, as a Ceramic Coating will help repel away dirt and debris. And, for any new/new-ish cars, or any vehicle that is garage-kept, a Ceramic Coating will give you the shine you love, all without having to deal with a wax re-application every few months.

Plymouth Ceramic Coating FAQs

Will a Ceramic Coating Prevent Scratches & Rock Chips? - That is not what a Ceramic Coating is designed for. The hydrophobic protection a Ceramic Coating provides has to do with cleaning the car and protecting against dirt and debris, not scratches and rock chips. However, because the Ceramic Coating is a small layer on top of the clear coat, it can do a small amount of protecting, similar to a wax or sealant. But no, we would never promise scratch/chip protection from any Ceramic Coating on the market.

How Do I Maintain my Ceramic Coating? - Maintaining a Ceramic Coating is almost as crucial as the installation, and if you want your coating to last the full 3+ years, proper maintenance techniques are required. When washing the car, using a pH neutral soap and washing the car by hand is optimal, but a touch-free or touchless car wash can work when hand washing isn’t an option. Avoid car washes that are not touchless, as the brushes and tools in those car washes will re-scratch your paint and do a lot of damage to the coating. After all, that’s how those pesky scratches and swirl marks got there in the first place!

What Areas of Plymouth Do You Serve? - We serve every part of Plymouth, as well as the rest of the South Shore and Cape Cod! So, no matter if you live in South Plymouth, West Plymouth, downtown, North Plymouth, on the waterfront, in the Ponds, or in the Pinehills, we have you covered with a Ceramic Coating service near you!

How Long Do I Have to Wait to Get My Car Wet After a Ceramic Coating Installation? - As per manufacturer recommendations, the Ceramic Coating will take 72 hours to fully cure, meaning that water should be avoided until then. If the car does get wet, drying the car with a microfiber drying towel is ideal, as you want to prevent any water spots from forming on the paint.
