Exterior Wash and Wax: Detail, Shine, & Protect Your Vehicle’s Paint
Get a Premium Shine without an expensive paint correction
Give Your Vehicle the treatment it needs with a wax to Protect & Shine
With our Standard Exterior Detail, or our “wash & wax” service, your vehicle gets a much needed cleaning and protection that leaves your car looking shiny and new for months.
A proper car wax or coating is supposed to be done on a consistent basic, but when is the last time you’ve had it done? Without a yearly wax, old car wax gunks up the paint, leaving a hazy look that can’t be removed with a simple car wash. And, without a new layer of wax, the clear coat of your vehicle is left unprotected, leading to premature fading and failure.
Along with the waxing of the vehicle, we also perform a spot paint decontamination using a clay bar if needed, getting out small contaminants that lay within the paint. We also perform a full wheel and tire detail, which consists of an iron decontamination to remove brake dust, and a tire shine to make the wheels look “wet” and fresh.
Pricing starts at $129, with an additional charge for larger vehicles and beyond normal conditions. For an exact price, request a quote today!
Our Full Exterior Detailing Process:
Pre-wash/Contactless Wash: During this step, we foam down the exterior of the vehicle, and wash the soap off of the entire vehicle after letting it sit. This ensures any large debris on the vehicle is removed to avoid scratching.
Contact Wash: A full contact wash of the vehicle is done using the two-bucket method and wash mits, minimizing the risk of scratching. This also strips any old wax off of the paint.
Drying: Using drying towels, we dry off the vehicle completely, which protects against water spots forming on the paint, especially on hotter days.
4. Decontamination/Clay Bar: Using a clay bar and lubrication, we decontaminate parts of the vehicle, such as the front bumper and lower rockers, in order to prep the paint for the next step.
5. Hand Wax: Using a Hand Wax, we carefully apply a new layer of wax to the paint, leaving a deep shine and protection.
6. Wheel and Tire Detailing: Using an iron decontamination wheel cleaner, we scrub the wheels and rims to remove caked-on brake dust, bugs, and tar. A tire shine is also applied, to make the wheels look like new.

Exterior Wash & Wax FAQs
Do you come to me?: Yes! We are a Mobile Detailing Service, meaning that we come to you and complete all work in your driveway, garage, or at work. All that is required is a working electrical outlet and running water. We are based in Plymouth, and currently service most parts of the South Shore and Cape Cod, including Kingston, Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, Mashpee, Hyannis, Duxbury, and many other towns!
What kind of wax do you use?: Typically, our wax of choice is from Meguiar’s, being their Cleaner Wax. This wax was chosen as it provides consistent results, a strong hydrophobic effect, and a very deep shine of the paint. In addition, the wax contains a small amount of polish, which can help remove small paint defects that wouldn’t normally be removed during a Wash & Wax.
What products do you use?: The majority of our exterior detailing products come from Superior Products, specifically Dark Fury, Road Warrior, and Dirt Buster. We purchase these by the gallon, and dilute them to a safe level in order to avoid potential damage to the car.
What happens if I’m not happy with the result?: If you’re not happy with the results, you’re protected with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, where I will personally come back and fix any problems or missed areas that you may find, for free. It is my personal goal to make sure every client is satisfied, and that’s why nearly 60% of our first-time customers take the time out of their day to leave a 5-star review.
How long does the service take?: Our Exterior Wash & Wax typically takes around 2-2.5hrs, depending on weather conditions and the size of the vehicle. During this time, we take absolute care with our cleaning and wax application process to avoid scratching the paint, and to avoid “wax marks” on any exterior trim.
How long does the wax last?: Our wax is made to last anywhere from 3-6 months, depending on the time of year, the car being garage-kept or not, and the method of washing the car. For the best wax longevity, avoid washing your car with any kind of dish soap, and don’t bring it to a non touch-free car wash.
